Join Us

We invite you to join our exclusive group of Combat Wounded Veterans and their family members.

The purpose of both organizations is to promote advocacy, fellowship, and peer support, as well as patriotic, fraternal, educational and historical programs. To do this, we participate in a wide range of activities and events that support veterans and other veteran organizations.  For example,  our members volunteer tens of thousands of hours at VA Medical Centers, Outpatient Clinics and other VA facilities.

Every Chapter (Purple Heart Patriots) and Unit (Auxiliary Members) Auxiliary have activities dedicated to community events. Whether the activity is for a war home, patriotic holiday or sponsored events such as Wreaths Across America, our volunteers are excited to be a part of it.

Membership is more vital this year than ever before. The Department of Louisiana will be hosting the 90th Annual Military Order of the Purple Heart National Convention August 14-18, 2023.

We value each members ideas and suggestions to make the convention a success. For the first time, an intraconvention conference called "Healing the heART" will be offered. Sessions will give participants innovative ways to fight PTS, anxiety, and depression with special emphasis on traumatic brain injury.
