This year's conference is entitled "Healing the heART" with an emphasis on the word "art". Louisiana is known for its vibrant arts culture. The Department of Louisiana is excited to incorporate art therapies such as music, writing, music, and meditation. World renowned speakers will be on hand to offer their expertise and insights on innovative and interesting strategies, programs, and techniques to help families who are experiencing the residual effects of war.

Hotel reservations can be made at the discounted rate of $99 from the nights of Friday August 11-Friday August 18th. Enjoy the area and have a great time while you are visiting Louisiana! Book early, the discounted rate is only available until JULY 24, 2023.
Make sure that everyone in your party completes a registration form in order to partake in the convention/conference.
If you would like to join us for an optional Sunday-Funday trip to New Orleans, we will leave early Sunday August 13th. Early registration will be offered on Saturday August 12th. The excursion is handicap accessible. The cost for the excursion is $50 for adults, $25 for children under 14, and free for children under 3.
During your visit, make sure you join us for "The Louisiana Experience" that will take the place of the traditional gala on Thursday evening. This year, our annual send-off dinner will be more casual and will showcase the many reasons why the Department of Louisiana loves our community and great state so very much. Attendees will experience local Louisiana cajun-style cuisine, music, and dance. So "Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler" ("Lay-say lay bon tom roo-lay" Let the good times roll) and have your dancing shoes ready because "we gonna pass a good time, ya'll!"
